What went wrong? Did you try to flash with PCH firmware? Did you know the procedure to do this? If there is no display you can try pressing TV+0 etc., on remote.

Yes I did try to flash it with the pch firmware and made a mistake I admit.
i'm pretty sure it's dead, no output send to hdmi or component. Trying the pch firmware recovery gives me always the yellow screen.

So I picked up an popcorn hour A-110 and all is well. And so after a nights rest and the fact that i'm set again to fill me media needes I have gained some renewed stamina to try and revive my dead ehp-606.

How well are your contacts with Elektron? Would they be willing to share some rescue firmware that I could try or explain how I could hook op a console on the UART port to at least see whats going on?

I will check with them. If they have any such firmware. I don't have much hope, but nothing wrong in trying.

But is your 1 year warranty over? You could simply remove the motherboard and EMS/ courier it to them. They will repair in max 2-3 days and return by courier.

If not within warranty they will charge you for it.

Actually it's still under waranty for another 2 months, but I have been unable to contact the company Elektron China via their website in the past, so I don't know how I could contact them now. I'm in Europe, where would I need to send it to?

Send email: inphone1984@hotmail.com to Cathy Wang to inform that your EHP-606 is dead and ask if you could send the motherboard to her in China for repair under warranty. She is very helpful person. She will oblige and get it done for you.

I have done this procedure (from India). EMS took 15 days to reach her. She got it repaired in 2 days and returned by courier back to me (3 days). So total time of 20 days. If you send by courier the total time will be reduced to 08-10 days.

Thanks for the info, but I checked on the shipping costs and it'll be around 100euro to send it to China which imho is not worth it.

Wow! That's quiet a lot! The board when packed weighs around 250 grams. From here it costs about EUR 8 via EMS and EUR 22 by courier.

Trying to crossflash, but everytime after press Ok on Start wizard receive 'Request cannot be processes' screen. Any thoughts?
