Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
Is the Slim S1 essentially a 6600Plus but with external power supply, no capability for wireless and no memory card slot ? Or are there other fundamental differences ? Is there a comparison chart published ?

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
basically you are right.
Let me add that:
- wi-fi is optional with external dongle
- S1 provides also additional component output and eSata connection
- screwless internal hdd installation

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
Wait there is no sd card slot on the S1? Whats the issue with an "external" power supply?

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
S1 has not SDHC slot (same as 6600A).
External power supply is not a issue, but a design choice (I guess due to space).
External power supply means however less heating inside the unit therefore reliability is improved.

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
OK thanks guys. So given that I don't need wireless, or a card reader and an external power supply vs internal is not an issue, is there any reason I should buy the 6600 (vs the S1), given that the 6600 is 70 Pounds more expensive ?

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
S1 does not support DVB-T additional extension, so it can't be a PVR.

Re: Slim S1 vs 6600Plus.
Don't want a PVR. So the S1 looks to be good for me if that's the only thing added to the list of features missing vs the 6600.
