Non-PC NAS with Xbox 360 playlist compatibility?
Is there an inexpensive NAS device (not a PC) which can correctly serve multi-folder MP3 playlists to an Xbox 360 over UPnP-AV?
I had a PC in my AV closet, but decided to go the NAS route when I moved my 500 DVD collection to ISO files on a pair of 2TB drives (actually, three 2TB drives, there is another drive in my NMT-based ioBox media player).
Unfortunately I bought a DLink DNS-321, which is a piece of junk in many ways. It streams the ISO files fine, but the UPnP implementation is weak at best -- and it definitely isn't compatible with the Xbox 360's picky requirements for playlist-handling. Hence the emphasis on "multi-folder" playlists in my opening question.
I suspect QNap or Synology probably has a device that will do this, but before I go spending several hundred dollars more and hours and hours of time, I'd like a definitive answer.
