Since the recent price drop of this NAS, at least in my country, I decided to get it. I needed a nice storage unit for all my blu ray ISO's so that I may stream them to my Dune Base 3.0 and the ability to install Logitech's Media Server for my Duet.
I installed 2x Samsung F4 2TB drives and started with my configuration. Getting everything transfered was the biggest problem as I have only a 100mbit connection via my router (next step to buy a gigabit switch) but after about two days I was ready to give it a nice run through.
Installing Logitech Media Server was simple but only after I stayed away from the latest firmware because D-Link has yet to support it. Really not an issue as everything works seamlessly for now (after two days of testing).
Without any real configuration done to the NAS it was visible to dune. Choosing a file from the NAS via the Dune's SMB browser or launching it through Zappiti worked from the get go. Even files of 60+GB worked with no problem.
So if you are looking for a little extra storage and a low power consumption unit a recommend this little NAS as it is more or less a plug and play unit for the DUNE.
