How is the C-200 for fulll quality blu ray playback
I chose a dune player over the c-200 originally because i heard the big downfall with c-200 is slow, and unreliable at playing back full blu ray rips without stuttering.
Is this still the case, is anyone streaming full quality blu rays over the network with no issues?

Re: How is the C-200 for fulll quality blu ray playback
No problem here. ISO and IFO BD rips play without hickups from both my Qnap 509 and my Netgear NAS. It takes a few seconds for the menu to start though.

Re: How is the C-200 for fulll quality blu ray playback
I own a PCH 200, 2nd hand bought, and it has no issues with playing original and backup copies of blu-rays, including bd-java and stuff. It has of course a BD-drive.
I do not stream so I don't care about its network, what I care is that I cannot make it play network radios (the manual is stupidly written) and that it's slow and that the LCD doesn't work all the times. It hangs from time to time, but after ON/OFF (mechanical) it comes back to life again.
I'm afraid I have to live with this issues, as I am afraid of upgrading it fearing of cinavia.

Re: How is the C-200 for fulll quality blu ray playback
I have an A110 in the bedroom, a C200 in the living room and I have just borrowed an HDI Dune "Smart B1" because I liked the look of the Zappiti interface and the iPad control so wanted to have a play with that...
All I can say is that whatever foibles the C200 may have (OK - so it still doesn't play my Avatar BluRay ISO without manually skipping past the menu) they are all forgiven after the frustrating ride that is the Smart B1!
OK - so I was aware that some players can't stream BluRay data quickly enough over SMB (SAMBA) ... my C200 does it (and DVDs of course) just fine over SMB but I wasn't overly annoyed to discover that the Dune didn't. No problem, install NFS on my WHS box ... well, that was a mixed bag. I had one evening of being able to stream Blurays over NFS on the Dune without them stuttering but since then it's been a futile excercise. Can take up to ten minutes to start playing a BluRay ISO and can take so long to exit a BluRay ISO and go back to the main menu that I just walk over and power cycle the thing.
The C200 on the other hand just (generally) works.
I do like the Zappiti app on the iPad for the Dune but that has a couple of *MAJOR* limitations...
1) I have 1,300 DVDs and BluRays ripped on my server ... the DVDs are in \\Moe\DVDs and the BluRays are in \\Moe\BluRays. Zappiti allows multiple source folders for it's library and consolidates all the files into one collection which is great but if I want to play a BluRay from the iPad app I have to use the Dune's remote to browse to the BluRay folder first or it won't start the movie, similarly if I want to play a DVD ISO then I have to browse to the DVD folder first.
2) The Zappiti app doesn't seem to support more than about 800 movies - after scrolling down to "T" in my collection the app crashes.
3) The NFS streaming seems awful by comparison with the C200 ... the C200 is plugged into the same switch as the Dune and is accessing the same folders on the NAS but plays everything that I throw at it without stuttering whereas the Dune only seems to manage to play DVDs.
*sigh*
Phil

I have to re-edit my post, there are original blu-rays that are not played with an error message. I found only one by now, a BD so full of java that even a regular BD-player could not display its menus.
Stupid designers. Making simple things complicated to show how smart are they, ha ha ....
