Accident and I have bounced some ideas around, I just gotta dig back into depths of my brain to try and remember what I was thinking then lol (all the more reason to get this stuff written down). Right now I get up at 4am to get to the gym at 5am, go straight to work from there, get home around 7pm, and then try to spend time with the family. I put a request in with the yamj team to support the playlist files needed for dune. Does anyone have any information on the filenames they can be or sample of what a playlist looks like?

Also has any app tried to use the http control of the unit where you don't exit the app to start playback?

I'm not sure what you mean here, all common playlist formats (m3u, asx...) should just work no matter the filename. Or did I misunderstand?

Executing a playback command using the IP control API overrides whatever is currently playing (or in this case, whatever flash app is active). So no, that is not an option.

So just about any standard playlist for videos? Is there a particular one you can recommend to use. With my luck i'll pick the one not supported.

I've not thoroughly tested all of the formats, but you can't go wrong with M3U.

Yea it just force quits whatever the unit is doing at the time that it receives the playback command.

With working playback this coding project is done. The differences between the end user experience with playback where dune is more limited is a limitation of their api. Playlists first need to be made by yamj before I can try to support it so once they add that I'll look at making an update.

I'll post up a more formal post as soon as I finish up some dune instructions people can use to understand the different setups possible. I'll link to the best places for help but for the most part dune users are going need to help each other out when it comes to paths and things, I can't support things I can't even try to run myself.
