Default DVD playback issues on several Dune models

on de Dune Prime 3.0 and Dune Smart B1 i noticed several problems with the playback of DVD-content.

- when DVD Engine 1 is chosen:

sound is gone after use of FWD or REW
(have to exit DVD player and restart to restore sound)

- when DVD Engine 2 is chosen:

some DVD menu's are not working. Especially menu's created with Pinnacle Studio 14. i also have some dutch Children DVD's dat refuse to play with engine 2. (they play fine with engine 1)

At the moment i'm running FW 120815_2150 on both models. But these problems exists on at least last 3 released firmwares.

i tried several settings but nothing is solving all these issues.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

I've also got a Prime 3.0 running the latest stable firmware.

About a week or so back I did get the menu problem on DVD engine 2, but swapping to DVD engine 1 as you say fixed it. However the audio loss on DVD engine 1 has not been a problem for me.

The specific disc I was trying to play was Pink Floyd Pulse - both discs were affected. I can't say how long since I last played this rip, but it can't be too long as I do play it fairly regularly. So could only be 1 or 2 firmware releases back that it last worked with no need to swap the DVD engine.

Hmm, i wonder why the audio loss issue isn't occurring with your setup.

2 questions:

1. is the sound track on the DVD: stereo, Dolby 5.1 or stereo?
2. do you use analog or digital outputs on your dune?

another question: did you test al the beta's last year? i'm pretty sure this problem was occuring in the last 3 fw's i tested. (in my setup)

1. The DVD I was playing was Dolby 5.1
2. I use the digital coax connection to my AV system

I think I have used most if not all firmware versions for my Prime, but to be honest I don't often use fast forward or rewind during playback so could of simply not noticed the audio dropout affecting any particular firmware version.
