Lost Yadis programme but still have export
Due to a problem with one of my PCs, I've had to restore it from a disc image, which pre dates the installaion of Yadis. However, the export was to the same server on which I store all my media. In a nutshell, I've lost the Yadis programme and workspace folder etc, but I still have the exported data. So the question is, what will I need to do, appart from re-instal Yadis on my PC?

Re: Lost Yadis programme but still have export
Salut,
I'm sorry to tell, but your exported yaDIS interface will not help you.
You still can use your interface it with the Dune, but when you will install yaDIS, no data will be inside and you will have to srape all your media again.
Would have been different if you would have a copy of the workspace (all information of the media is stored in the workspace\data folder). In this case you would have redefined your media location folders and you could have reprocessed using the available information in the data folder without scraping.
I'm doing a regular backup of my workspace for that reason (loosing HDDs seems to be something more and more normal in our days).
Cheers,
flugs

Cheers flugs. I was afraid that might be the case. In future, I'll keep a backup of the workspace/data folder. Looks like I have several hours (if not days) of work to do. Oh well.............
