this is my first post and please be gentle. i'm interested in buying an Egreat R300 which can playback 3D movies according to the official document. but i'm not sure what this 3D is all about.is the media player alone enough to watch 3D movies or a 3D-compatible display is needed ? Please forgive my newbie question.thanks in advance!

For egreat R300, 3D function. It means it can support playing 3D Movies, and convert 2D movies to 3D. But it must be watched on a 3D TV.

Hi, forget! Thanks for replying. After some researches, i find Egreat 300 seems to be a ideal choice in terms of hardware specifications, price and features. sadly my old TV doesn't have that fancy feature and i'll need to upgrade my TV first..

Hi, Yes, You should buy a 3D TV.., Now it is not so expensive..
But if your TV is normal, you can also buy a 3D converter, which can convert 2D image to 3D, but it cant support real 3D movie playback. and it seems that the 3D effect is not so good as the 3D TV..
