Default dp600 as a tv viewer

hi!

is it somehow possible to setup a server which encodes normal cabletv (or dvb etc.) to a streaming format so that you can stream it with the dp 600. also zapping around channels should be possible.

any ideas?

thanks

There is software that can do this (zapping and prepare streaming by using
the PC) but the KiSS is not the player that can handle this or makes it easy.
I don't think whatever is possible is sufficient to enjoy it if even possible
and also don't see whatever good it would do...

Mainly a stream file should be ready when starting to stream otherwise it
will only pay the part already available. It also would require modifications
as the KiSS is not fully compliant with upnPav which is mainly used by these
softwares...

Frankly I don't know as i never tried any of this software...
I don't see any need for it unless you bought the wrong player for your needs

A player with DVB-T tuner...
Any uPnP compatible player that works with the software of your choice...

Like i said, I never used any of that as it's too much fuss for the purpose...
www.google.be might help.
