Hi,

I have been looking for a good extarnal hard drive/media player, and from the reviews on this site thought the TViX C-2000U is a good all round option.

It seems that you cannot buy the C-2000U in the UK anymore, only the Lite version is available. Anyone know where I can buy the non-lite version from?

If not, could anyone recommend a good alternative?

The C-200 is a light model on it's own and is no longer capable of playing
the latest formats. Additionally, the use a of a laptop HDD is not the
cheapest option available. MVIX has some small models too but we
recommend getting a bigger portal media player like the TViX 4000/5000,
the IAMM. Also th Rapsody N35 is a good choice...

I am looking to buy a bigger model too, like the TViX M-5100SH or the maybe even the Media Tank if it can do what it says on the tin... So will be eagerly awaiting the your review!

But I would also like a small portable unit that I can use as portable data/media device, to transfer large amounts of data and share my fotos with familiy and friends on my travels. (Would also be nice to be able to directly transfer fotos from my camera to the device to free up card memory on holiday, hence the need for C2000U above the C2000U Lite)

Would be handy indeed but it looks it all lite versions everywhere...

The iZak might be something you want to check too...
Dunno if it has USB On TheGo and they are more expensive... If I
remember correctly it has not, so it might be the same option as the lite
C-2000.
