I wanted to do a final test.
I made .iso images with the problematic DVDs.

And worked !!

i think that there's something buggy in the FW.
maybe the tvix handles 1 file better than several in the Video_ts folder.

nah.... something must not be working the way it should... Even ISO is just
a container working in the same way as video_ts...

I also had a bit of a problem with this.
Having put this in my tvixhd1 folder, the DVD (original R1 Hellsing Ultimate III, playing the DD5.1 Japanese track w/English subs) starts off perfectly, but after about 30(?) minutes first starts stuttering, then plays visually fine, but with no sound. Rewindingwould result in normal playback for a minute or two, then stutter ending in no sound. Using fairly recent build of AnyDVD.
Also, after this the tvix wouldn't play .wmv-files (skipped to first .avi it found), trying to restart the DVD resulted in a black screen. Needed a reboot to get both to play.
I'm playing the DVD again to see if it's reproducable.

Another thing:
Would this work as an easy way to add access to (media on) other HDDs to the tvixhd1 folder? Anyone tried? Any reason not to?

Edit2: It happened again, but this time the tvix locked up.

Looks like what is happening to me. Some DVDs last more, some less, to start stuttering. Try making a .iso image of the DVD..
About to access to another HD from the tvixhd1 folder, you can use Junction points (while the tvixhd1 partitition was NTFS formatted).
