Ok, the first Super Tip launched in this new forum today. It can bring some
fun in times you are bored just to play around, or it lifts your level of
knowledge of what is truly possible by tweaking your environment

Any HDD player without a DVD-ROM like N35, TViX, IAMM, Dueple, NViX, which
incorporates SMB can be tuned into playing commercial DVD's without the
need for you to make a backup first and that makes it our first Super Tip
for this section.

Grab our Guide that explains everything (based on TViX example) and get
started. Get in trouble, just ask questions in this thread and we'll reply as
soon as possible. If then,w e feel the guide is unclear, ti will be updated

Excellent and very clear walkthrough!
I had some issues with the permissions part though.
I'm using XP SP2 Home and apparantly Microsoft found it necessary to disable some possibilities concerning the rights/permissions of a share.

I downloaded a tool called "XP FSE" (XP File Security Extension) to remedy this.
With this tool, a context option (right-click on the share) is added: "Adjust security".
When I added the "Everyone" group to the share and gave all rights except "Full control", the DVD-drive started to be available on my other equipment as well...

Why do you need to map the dvd drive on an HD folder? I tried sharing directly the DVD drive and everything seems to work fine (just tried with 1 dvd)

Fixed, when users report a missing document, we wil fix them one by one... Best option is to port it in the thread created and report it including the link to the post where it's supposed to be...
