About 01 - you can't close service at all from anywhere , only to kill it from task manager.
05 - Get sometimes some socket error with high number (don't remember exacly but I posted FCLage) and service crashes.
06 - You can run several instances of EzLink Manager .
07 - After 06 sometimes NTFS not detected , temp. solution run 06 again
Btw: do you think it's a good idea to keep this thread public ? Who needs to see list of the bugs for the program he can't get yet ?

Well, it's either this or loads of traffic by mail up and down...
If i make the forum private (which i can) i need to manage accounts for accessing the thread for anyone who is testing and so on...
All things have drawbacks...
At least people can see here which things are found and solved...
if they see many are solved, more people will come forward and test etc...
I dunno...
Public to the People (damn, that sounds strange )

While loading my MP3 collection in EZlink Manager, this window popped up 2 times. the files in the error are normal mp3's, not corrupted and perfectly playable. even via the KiSS.

Hi eriksson,
This is probably due to a file which is not registered on your PC.
You need to download the file MSWINSCK.OCX and place it in the windows\system32 directory.
http://www.ascentive.com/support/new...b/MSWINSCK.OCX
(Right Click and choose Save As!)
After that, click on START, click RUN and tupe the following command:
Windows 95, 98, or Me:
regsvr32 \windows\system\MSWINSCK.OCX
Windows NT or 2000:
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\MSWINSCK.OCX
Windows XP:
regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSWINSCK.OCX
After this is done with success, go to the start menu.
Go to EzLink folders and subfolders in the start menu and select the START SERVICE.
let me know if this fixed your problem.
Regards
Hi-Jack

All fine now!
But in fact I had that file already...
I just un-installed and re-installed new and old application a few times...
Thanks anyway!
PS. any more info about the "Database SQL error" when adding MP3-folder"?

Can't install the sucker.
It gives me a fault that reads:
"Wait while Windows is configuring hpmdinst"
and in another window:
The function you are trying to access is on a CD or drive that is ni longer availible. Please insert HP Picture CD!
This keeps repeating itself
Big dissapointment!
Something is apparently screwed up
I'm running Win XP Pro DK, on a 1.7GHz P4 w. 512 Mb RAM
Cheers Leif

Clearly it has to do with your HP software for the camera
Deinstall it, then reboot and reinstall ezlink.

Yeah well, I tried that, but now it says "Run time error 76" when starting EZLink. I cannot install Service.
It suggest that I install the latest MDAC and Jet drivers, so I tried even that - still no dice.
The old EZLink is running flawless with these drivers.
So, I have installed EZLink NG, new MDAC and Jet drivers, but when I press the icon "install service" nothing happens.
If I start EZLink manager, Runtime error 76 pops up.
What next?
Cheers Leif
