Default I just wish a new FW with MKV/h264/VC-1 support

After reading about the new added features for DViCo-M4100/5100, I been dreaming about, someone finds a way to include (copy or even stealing) this functions from them and adding it into the last known FW of Snazio* SZ1350.
Is there really no hope at all?
Was 20-76 the last FW?

Yes it is the last beta firmware...
H264/MKV is not possible because of the older 8620 chipset. VC1 is only supported in main profile. VC1 High profile like used on HDDVD requires a faster chipset (em8622/23 or em8634/35).

Nope, in theory any IDE dvd drive will do...
If your Snaz has an EPO 306D drive you can upgrade the FW... It helped on mine...

Yeah, I haven't opened it up yet to be fair. I don't mind switching out the drive if it isn't the one that can take the new firmware.
