I have downloaden a Blu-ray titel on the net, it plays perfect!
( ---.2006.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264)
The info-file of the movie says there are 16 subtitles in it to choose, but i cant get them on screen..... Not possible?

Sadly I think the 4100SH doesn't support embedded subtitles yet!

Nope and don't wait for it i would say. I don't know if external subtitle is possible with m2ts, i suppose it is.

BTW, is there - like for DVD's - a program that can convert (by OCR or otherwise) a subtitle stream embedded in a .mkv to an extarnal .srt file?

You don't have to to that, you can extract (demux) the subtitles from the mkv with mkvtoolnix.
