Default Storage for the TViX 5100

HI
I am looking for a huge storage device to connect to my tvix 5100, (2TB) I would like it to either connect via usb or ethernet but don't want to connect it to a network just the 5100 and access it from that is there such a device?

Thanks in advance

ps It aslo needs to come on when the tvix is on and power off when the tvix powers off, thanks

The boot and shutdown, you can forget about that
You want it to connect over Ethernet but not Network? That's only possible using
Cross Link and making manual IP configurations. You will have to connect to PC
once in a while to setup and change settings though.

Check out Infrant ReadyNAS NV+, CS-407 and Thecus N5200... (4 disk based)
Also DS-207+ can hold 2 HDD up to 2TB...

Action at DivXplayer currently...
Good deals on 2TB for €999 only...

Hypothetically speaking, I think this could be achieved with a programmable remote and/or a PC.

For example, a PC with an IR receiver could receive a command to start/shutdown the storage device over the network.

Or more simply - but possibly less likely - the storage device could be started/shutdown using a remote control. If so, a programmable remote could be made to start/shutdown both the tvix and storage device.
