Stage2 is a modular firmware what will change your player into a linux server
You will have a html server / kml server ftp server / telnet server running from inetd so it will not take the mem if you don’t need it

at the moment im working an a new toolchain so i hope to fix some problems in busybox (busybox people want me first to use a newer crosscompiler)

i can't change the network settings from webconsole (it says that it is but it will not work as it is enable), so i can't enable pclink
i have the same problem with the dp-558.
What am i doing wrong ?

are you sure you did enter your dns AND gateway correct on static ip?

I confirm that all works with static ip address (Webradio, network playback, Telnet, FTP). I didn't test DHCP server enabled, because all my network is locked with static ip addresses.

For pc-link : I did enable it from nvram and rebooted : pc-link is now enabled (I checked it on nvram : ethernet TCP/IP DHCP Client disabled ; ethernet TCP/IP NTP client enabled ; FTP server Read/Write ; Pc-link server enabled ; WEB schedule disabled).

Because you dont have a harddrive you cant edit the files
But i just let you see the files who you could edit if you place a harddrive in your player

Because you don’t have a hard drive you can’t edit the files.
This static file list will be editable if you place a hard drive in your player.

Hi,
Just an other little bug : HDD doesn't spin down when player is on standby (it spinned down after 2 min in previous beta version).

EDIT : but maybe it's due to the fact that pc-link is enabled ?

RE EDIT : when pc-link is disabled, HDD doesn't spin down. The only way to make it spin down is : power on the player, go to menu, HDD, navigate in it, and standby the player. Then HDD immediately spins down.
