How to see DVB files on Kiss DP-558?
Hi everybody.
I recently acquired a DVB-T card for waching tv on pc. I use linux Kaffeine for watch and record programs. However I can't watch these records directly in Kiss DP-558.
Anybody knows what I have to do, without re-enconding?
Thanks.

There is no way but re-encoding or recording in a format the KiSS supports.

Try to look at the options in Kaffeine. Maybe you can choose to record in mpeg format instead of TS (Transport Stream).
Then it should be playable on the DP558 directly.

I recorded in MPEG_PS format. With this format I can play it on the Kiss. But I have a little problem. Sometimes doesn't work. I don't kwnow why.
Thanks.

Yesterday I did some test.
I did all records with Kaffeine with option MPEG_TS.
Some records works without problems on Kiss. Others don't. I don't know the reason. Kiss say "Unsupported codec" or something like that. Maybe it's a Kaffeine problem.

the network interface of the KISS is very slow, this means only recordings or streams from other devices up to 2mb are supported, otherwise the screen will start to stutter etc.

An other idea: It seems, that DP gets wrong filesize. Similar behavior is known playing VBR-MP3 files. title plays to end, but doesn't go to next title, and playtime ist counting up (real 3:46, player thinks 34:06 (mm:ss). Try some recordings shorter than 2 GB. Record only 1 audio channel (known bug on Pinnacle ShowCenter SC200) and not "all".
Good Luck!
