Can only play 1 iso file!?
My PCH has been working flawlessly for a long time but today it started acting funny. I have a build in 2'5 hard drive where i copy my iso files to. My problem is that, starting today, when I played an iso file, the PCH will not play another one unless I play an mp3 file or a streaming file or something other than an iso file. After I played a different type of file than iso I can then play an iso file again, but the whole things starts over when I'm done with the movie and want to see another. I've tried re-starting the PCH endlessly without any result. Please help - I'm going crazy with this stupid problem!

If you did not reinstall the firmware or an update, how do you reboot the device? Do you pull the plug or just reboot it? Pull the plug for a minute so memory unloads completely and try again but use different ISO files than the one that initiated the issue...
If that does not solve it, you might try reinstall the firmware...

I did pull the plug, but only for about 20 secs. Will try a minute if that does not work, reinstall the firmware. Thanks for the advice but I was obviously hoping that I could avoid reinstalling the firmware

Reinstalled the firmware twice, disconnected the PCH for 8 hours, nothing works
Only thing left is to try and reformat the hard drive I guess...

I attached a new hard drive, copied a new iso file that is 100% working (like the rest of my iso files) and same result. Wtf is wrong - it's driving me nuts...

What firmware are you using?
Try it with DVD-raw images (Videots), see what happens

I used the latest (june 2008 release) and I even tried the older too. Will try raw files, but that does not solve my problem sadly!

Would explain there is a bug with ISO files though and pending a fix, all you need to is extract the iso to play... It's not a solution, but a welcome workaround...

This is gonna sound stupid, but out of desperation I tried to change the video output to a differen resolution and now the files are working again. What the connection is I have no clue, but it worked or it's a coinsidence. The "old" output setting had been working for 4 months so there is no logic in this. If you experience the same thing might be worth trying!! Thanks for the help guys, it's nice to see how quick people are to help in here - highly appreciated :P
