Default FTP for dummy

Hi I installed NFS on my istar using the fantastic NFS guide utilising the soon-to-cost-me hineWIN. all working for now and my istar can see my desk-top. when I tried to do the reverse, ie, ftp into my istar internal drive, I couldn't. I did the ftp://ftpuser:1234@192.168.1.21 and it ain't working. I can ping the address but when i ftp it, it just won't respond. ftp server is running in the nmt app in my istar. any idea? what am i missing? thanks.

You missed parts of the guide
Using NTFS means you have no NMT applications installed and the drive will be
read only by the player so that means no SAMBA and NO FTP... That's only
possible when using EXT2/3...

Hi, I meant NFS, not NTFS. I did install the the internal drive with NMT app in EXT3 so the FTP server is installed. But I couldn't ftp it from my computer.

How did you install NFS as it is featured by default... I misread it
because it sounds wrong. You cannot install NFS, you can only activate it
and configure it

The NFS has nothing to do with FTP either as far as i know.
Check FTP is enabled and use the user "nmt". I remember reading that is
the correct username... If the password fails, try setting a new password in
the setup for the FTP access. I believe this is possible by now... (but i could be wrong as I see too many players...)
