Divxplayer accidentally I guess put up the buy-in offer on their site already and it looks like anyone can order it at our special price.
see :
You can also see the drive prices there. Funnily enough they only sell it with Samsung drives which are the only drives that are not offically supported by QNAP because they have problems getting samples in Taiwan apparently. The price for the normal samsung 1 TB is a bit high though at 110 euros (best price is around 98 euros for that one) their F1 Raid is priced better but I wonder if a 39 euro extra per drive for the raid is usefull.
Can you confirm that the 509 was tested with Samsung drives by Divxplayer (and that drive sleep etc. works for them). Was there a reason for them to only offer it with samsungs?
PS if you want a nice laugh then check out DIVXPlayers normal prices for the 1TB Samsungs, they will put tears into your eyes
PS2 why didn't they offer it with the 640 GB Samsungs, those currently have the best value for money plus they have the 320 GB platters which the 500 and 750 don't have.
