Default Faulty Power Supply - Who Do I Need to Contact?

Well I clicked on the support tab on Istar's site and it told me to go here. My light on my power supply keeps going off. I have it temporarily fixed with electrical tape but it seems that the part of the box that goes to the wall has a short of some sort. Any easy way to fix this or do I need a replacement power supply?

Yes, replacing it would be safest way to go and you arrange this with your
reseller (or the manufacturar if they not offer a resolution). Check however,
these players use external adapters and usually these cone in 2 parts where
one part can be easily exchanged (the part that connects to the wall). If that's
the part which is broken, would be easiest and fastest to replace with another
cable...

If the adapter is in 1 peace or the actual adapter block is broken, then file for a new one...

I purchased it directly through istar so there wasn't a reseller and istar said for support to go to this site (which was funny that I was already on this site for another support issue... the post below this)

Send your request to rma@istarhd.com.

I had a broken Istar Mini power supply. I received a new one, send to Netherlands in a week.

Mine was also broken and got a new one in about one week. Interesting to know that it is a common problem as well.

What are the specs on that power supply?

12V 1Amp? 2Amp? pin positive?

We might need to look into this for a replacement--esp. if you run a big esata HDD attached to the NMT...
