I can confirm that 6500 + WD 1TB GP works perfectly.

Never tested a bigger one.

do you mean 1.5TB

I ordered one from NewEgg, it supposed to arrive today or tomorrow. However, I plan to use it on a external dual-bay case via USB, but I can test it internal on the 6500A and let know here with the status.

Default 1.5TB is ok

I've been using a Seagate 1.5TB as an internal drive for over a week now. I upgraded from a Seagate 1TB. I have about 1.2TB filled up on the new drive and all is working fine.

you have verified if the 1.5TB get too hot? also, you performed a full format or quick format? and if is full format, how much time it took?

I attached both drives to my PC's 3g/s SATA connectors. I did a quick format on the new drive (only a few seconds to complete) via the WinXp computer management/disk management console. Then I copied my 98% full 1TB's data to the new 1.5TB using Teracopy Pro. I don't think Teracopy is all that much faster (if any) than the standard Windoze copy but it gives nice status as it proceeds and has a handy pause feature. The copy took several hours to complete and both drives were hot afterwards.

Since installing the 1.5TB drive in the TViX, I've watched several multi-hour 1080 movies. I've FTP'd over 75g from my PC to the TViX. I've left it on all day and night. The TViX gets warm (with the fan on hi) but never hot. The 1TB Seagate drive was perfectly happy in the warm TViX enclosure so I expect the 1.5TB will be happy too.
