It is wrong that when I want to turn off the device I push the front button?

It is mandatory to use Remote control (power, wait 2 sec and delete/clear button) and only after that I should use the front button?

I must say that when I try to turn it off with the remote control, I had to try 3-5 times before I succeed.

Push 2 seconds on the power button, wait a second & then push 2 seconds on delete button.

Works 100% the first time.

But, can I damage the divice if I use only the front button?

Sure, you can use only the front button then turn off (plug the PSU into a power strip with on/off switch) the Istar.
