Default Do you leave your M6500A on all the time?

I have a 1TB WD Green HD in my TVIX M6500A..and it sits on a shelf in my equipment rack. It is in the basement (in my theater room) and I have been turning it off each time I am done with it. It gets to be rather a pain in the butt to keep going up and down the stairs to turn it on...so do you guys leave yours on all the time?

Any ill effects? My fan is set to HIGH..so cooling shouldn't be a problem. I know it is kinda like a computer..and I have one of those down there..two shelves above it...and I leave THAT on without worry.

Your thoughts?

You could leave it on but uyou are bound to experience issues due to it and not necessarlily because of the heat issues and wearing the unit out. A system still profits from rebooting once in a while to unload everything and get a fresh start so you will lock up occasionally when leaving it on.

Other than that... you should be ok...
Notice also, the system is linux based and green drives (load and unload cycle counts) go up very fast as these drives are mend for desktop use (windows). You can search the forums for the info concerning this if you'd like....
