Default Re: dts audio files

Found it: The volume control on the Dune has to be at 0 db, otherwise dts files give only static.

This is probably a technical limitation rather than a bug.

Understood that it should be possible to change the position of the subtitle.
Read:
Added possibility to adjust the vertical position of subtitles.
- Press "SUBTITLE" button, then use "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to adjust
the vertical position.
- The adjustment is remembered persistently.

This function seems to work only for DIVX files with separate video (SRT/SUB) files; not for Blu ray or DVD.
Any suggestion

Hi,

same experience here with subtitle positioning.

I guess it will never work for BR and DVD subs since they are part of the video stream and just can be switched on or off.

I don't really have more information. When I play a dts file at 0db, all is fine. When I raise/lower the volume, playback switches to static and the dts-symbol on my amp's display starts blinking. When I put volume back to 0, I hear music again. Audio output is set to bitstream, connected to amp by digital coax.

Mine is connected trough HDMI 1.3 cable. Maybe is due to HDMI connection. I will try the digital coax cable.

After putting Version "090213_1219_beta" in my Dune Center i having problems with audio analog-out when i playback Bluray rips.
There is no sound at all on the surround channels.
Is this because the Dune is not ready (for now) to decode the new audio formats,or is this a bug?

Hi papapelo,

there are a couple of thread dealing with sound problems already in the forum.
It seems to be a bigger problem with audio via Toslink and/or the 7.1 analog out.
I also get only 2 channel sound - but only on some disks. Others play fine.

Which discs have you tested?

And you say "After putting Version "090213_1219_beta" in my Dune Center" - that implies that it worked before?

Hi Hocky,

The problems are whith all/only HD audio (rips and disc's) over 7.1 analog out.
This problem wasn't before the beta update.....
Thats why i think it's a bug.

Best regards,
Leo

Hi,

ok - i did some further testing with the 7.1 analog out and i only get 2 channel sound (front left/right) regardless what type the audio track is (tested with TrueHD, DTS HD MA, DTS, DD, LPCM).
