Default Is it possible to put in a new hard drive?

Is it possible to put in a new hard drive, I mean another brand but same size, and the next question is, is it possible to put in a bigger hard drive and if not, why ???

Yes it's possible but not with all disks...
Stick with samsung spinpoint if possible.
(YOu should consider these use less power then most and are very silent)
