Hi guys!
For some time now I'm looking for a program that can convert vob files from Kiss to ordinary avi files. I would like to cut out commercials and set exact start and finish of vob files from Kiss and then convert them to avi file that take less space and could be watched on ordinary divx players.
Any suggestions?

I used to use:
VideoRedoPlus (to cut out commercials)
autoGK (to make divx)

worked like a charm

After much of experimenting and trying I end up with:
VideoReDo for cutting and AutoGK for converting like BuGGeR suggested.

Hello!

Are the .VOB files ready to use, out of the kiss to a standard DVD? Or is it always needed some kind of conversion?

What if i only want to trim the begining or the end of it, any simple/decent program for it? Just trim, no conversions?

I don't know if Windows Movie Maker handles these .VOB's or not..

The thing is I'm already loosing lots of time with the play-rec manouvers, I don't want to loose more time with conversions and stuff.. It's bad enough having to use my laptop to archive the videos..

Well... For me, the video quality is the most important think but with a logical capacity.
After many tests I've come to a software that does everything I need, like:
Crop, Trim and off curse Convert to many type of archives...
Talk about iSkysoft Video Converter. It's the best for me.
The .avi files that I take from this, is almost like the original .vob files in quality
but in a very bitter Size! Excellent!!!

When I want even greater accuracy in Cutting,
I use Boilsoft Video Splitter which cuts video and music, without re-encoding files.
So I have the best quality in my archives.
