To verify the problem, please provide more details then we could test and verify the problem in our lab, like, if the problem only happened on the 1080p HD movies? how many movie files you tested so far that have the problem? The files’ name? and media info. like codec, Bitrate of the files that you tried to playback? If each time the movie would freeze or player shutdown in same place?...
Also please contact your reseller, see if you could send them some movie files which had the playback issue for their testing, see if same problem would happen on their end.
The 2009 version is as the factory firmware for production, for now latest firmware version for downgrade is 081231 version, the file name update.img is correct, not update.bin.
Next new firmware is planed to be released by early next month. You could wait for the new release see if the problem be resolved by new firmware upgrade.
