I'm having problem with Thai Subtitle in .srt format it displays unreadable text and just lots of squares but no Thai text. I think it has something to do with the encoding.
Pls advice.

PS. Pls quickly come up with sub/idx support. I bought 3 k100, it would be perfect if it supports sub/idx.

I meet the same problem when update new firmware.

Hi !

Please make sure your K100 is updated to the latest new firmware 090204 already.

And pls make sure your .srt files are not corrupted, and they are saved in ANSI format.


As per Syabas team, the sub/idx is on the beta, it must to pass all their QA testing as stable before to enable it via public release.

update: As per Syabas team, the next new firmware most probably still not support the IDX/SUB.

Beta is not available here since if it can't pass the Syabas internal QA they will not release to OEM manufacturers then.

that sucks....
Most of my family can't understand english well and there is no thai sub in other format other than idx/sub
so when can I expect the new FW to support idx/sub? Could you give me some time frame? a few months?
Anyway Can Kaiboer make something like a plugin to support idx/sub, so that Kaiboer doesn't have to wait for Syabas approval?

Hi,

idx/sub is already in beta testing by Syabas, if they don't release this feature by public firmware yet, that means it's still not stable or still other some problems.

We will keep check and will keep you posted if any updated status.

I have a K100, i have subtitles in .srt format (English Lang), i rename the subtitle to be exactly the same name as the movie and store it in the same flder as the movie itself. I then play the movie and the subtitles dont show, i then try to press the Subtitle button on the remote and the icon appears indicating that its not a 'pressable' button.. any help would be much appreciated.

I have zappti player and I face proplem with it when I try to play Mkv file from the extranal hdd it is working but the arabic subtitles not working do you have any solution for this
