Looks great, I will buy one for sure. I wasn't fast enough on the 100 units offer, (Off course now I'm the first ) but, that won't stop me from buying one.
What worries me a bit is the GUI. I would like an interface that shows me immediatly after booting what's on my NAS.
On my HDX1000 I have to scroll and push several buttons before I finally see my content. I want to get there faster and easier.
The second picture however shows a promising interface. I hope it's more friendly. It's good enough for me if I can browse to the right place on one screen instead of going to 4, 5 screens first. But we'll see.

Nice videos - seems like the UI works fairly fast - however not owning a A110 or A100 not sure how it compares - what I am wondering is how well the display on the C200 works for playing music without turning on the TV

Yeah, they do need a new gui though and get rid of the HTML a little. As for Valconi, it should be easy to do to set some sort of selection for startup source from setup if they implement it...

Look at that BD-J menu working...
If it works like that, it could have a command line interface and I'll still buy it. I'll wait for network streaming performance tests, especially BD-J backup streaming.
Regards,
VM

I agree completely, especially about network streaming performance. Will this be the first player with a gigabit NIC? And any chance this would help with stuttering issues over SMB? Curious . . .
If PH can really nail down all the previewed and rumoured features, they will have a winner on their hands, especially at the price they're asking.

in my humble opinion gbit is just a spec, even 10/100 would do fine if propery configured and used as the bandwidth on the chip is way below the 10/100 capacity as it is... So, since the cost is practically the same, it makes sense to use gbit i guess...

Well network speed is a lot higher then on the older machines.
Test runs on a 100Mbit network, not on a gigabit network....
90Mbps is about the max you will ever get on a 100 Mbit network.
