This is the "only" official bugthread on MPC concerning the DViCo TViX M-6600(N) player. The bugs found are checked, reproduced and reported by us automatically to DviCo... Please be as complete as you can always including firmware version, bug description and possibly reproduction steps / settings where applicable.

This is not a discussion thread... Discuss the bugs outside this sticky which purposes only "listing" the bugs... so we can easily let DViCo know what's wrong at this time... Please check the links to this bugs for the discussion threads so we don't go creating new threads for the same bugs...

Bug List DViCo TViX M-6600(n)

01 - Icon and folder art system not functioning Dvico is working on it with priority and is aware of it not functioning yet! 02 - YouTube videos cause player to reboot YouTube recently changed their protocols and DviCo needs to adapt their module for this. 03 - When using the TVIX to ping a device, it states "successed". (must be succeeded or success)

Not a bug:

01 - Failing PNG Files: Due to to Interlace mode 02 - Volume Control MKV Normal behavior if Digital audio passthroug is enabled (receiver handles control etc...)

Switching between wired and wireless settings sometimes took up to 5 min between selections. Granted that once set you are no likely to change them - very slow interface when making Network selections.

Hi Smills, cannot reproduce this. Switching between WLAN and cabled lan is a matter of 30 seconds on our player. Opening source from network a few seconds (or longer if the NAS is in standby mode)... need a bit more info on the steps you take and how long it takes...

The video freeze when press FF (fast forward) at 4X when play video 1080P from external USB drive.

Bugs report : NFS server path only allow 15 character , long network path got the input problem.

I'm from HK and using T451 as the HDTV tuner. I have found the EPG is working in some TV channels such as TVB, J2, HDTVB..etc. The program names can not be displayed normally.

Just got mine set up today and it's working very nicely. Immediate things that need fixing:

1) EPG - works well but is no method of getting additional programme details. In Oz, you'll often see as an initial title "Friday Night Movie" for example. You have to hit an info button on most TVs to find out what the Movie actually is and get a description. This appears to be missing on the 6600. The "info" button on the 6600 remote just brings you back to the current TV programme and provides some details on this.

2) Create folders/subdirectories on the fly. Does not seem to be an option to do this (unless I've missed something?)

As I experiment more, I'll post if any other problems/wishlist items.

As playing movie files, a icon comes up flickering in right upper corner saying "Fan Speed 0 %" - but fan is working ok. Firmware ver. 1.8.7 - (might be a production fault, but not sure)

When connecting the TVIX 6600N to PC, i realized that:
- If i turned on the TVIX -> connect the USB cable to PC, PC can detect and connect to TVIX
- If i turn off the TVIX -> connect the USB cable to PC -> turn on TVIX, TVIX sceen displayed "USB ON", but PC cannot detect the TVIX.
