Post Guide: Connect Mede8er to NAS over NFS

Showing an example on our QNAP TS809 NAS and the Mede8er, we created a guide on how to add NFS shares on the Mede8er MED500X. In our new series of "1 Page Guides for Dummies" we show you step by step how to create a NFS connectiong between your NAS and Mede8er.

Requirements:
- Your NAS needs to support NFS
- You know the IP Address of your NAS
- You know the sharename of your NAS folder to be used

How to use the guide for Dummies...

Hi There,

I made some NFS bookmarks on my Mede8er and now for some reason they don't work anymore.
I tried to delete these bookmarks but can't. I have a list now but cannot delete any of them. Is there a way of reset the Mede8er? Back to factorysettings doesn't work either.
Any suggestions?

I have a Synology 209, Tvix6500 en the Mede8er MED500X

Hi Stef,

I suggest that you also post a message on the Mede8er forum:
http://www.mede8erforum.com

Personally I don't use NFS on my Mede8er at the moment, but probably there is a quick answer on your question that one of the other Mede8er owners can share with you.

regards,

Hi Stef1963,

I have noticed same problem. It seems to be bug in firmware (Cannot delete NFS bookmarks).
If you want remove wrong bookmarks you will try install firmware again. It will reset all settings.

Or you must wait a little for new firmware where that bug is hopefully removed.

You will find Mede8er firmwares from Mede8er forum:

I just posted the problem I am having on de mede8er forum but haven't gotten any answer yet.

Mede8er not connecting to ReadaNAS might be a UDP or TCP over NFS problem.
