best container-format for DVD and BD?

which container-format is the best for playing with prime? iso-format jerks.

Why put it in a container at all? Whats wrong with just playing the disc container in a folder.

Hi,
I use mkv. supports several codecs, several languages, several subtitles and chapters. I don´t know if the HDI already supports all this.
