Hi folks,
just want to let you know that hantz.com (germany, austria, swiss) has got the base3.0 player now in stock. Due to raised import tax the media player has the same tariff as blu-ray players so the price raised aswell. Its now available for 276,- instead of 249,-.

Ok, ex VAT, when your focus is towards end-users the company is obligated to mention including VAT prices, so 329 including vat...

I post this because we allready have people in the mailbox about this, and we need to explain to them the prices are without VAT.

And, buying at Hantz means:
You buy with business-condtions, what means only 12 months warranty and no right for refund.

One should be aware of that when ordering at Hantz.

This is not right. If one orders from Hantz as a private person the manufacturer guarantee from HDI is 6 Month and the guarantee from the Dealer is 24 Month. This is regulated legally in Germany and Hantz has confirmed this in the order also so.

Would you please quote what exactly they have confirmed?

In fact Hantz specifically mention on their website (first page, scroll down to the end) that they only do B2B selling, also stated in their general terms and conditions. There is no other reason to do so but for the purpose to show prices without VAT (clearly misleading to the customer), to avoid the defects liability and especially to by-pass the liability to have items returned within the 2 weeks period. This gives an image of quite an untrustworthy behaviour.

Hantz doesn't sell to end customers anyway as stated on their main page. So I don't understand the stir anyway.

For some reasons it's always German even if the page is set to English and I'm too lazy to translate it completely, but in a nutshell it says they sell only to companies, tradesmen, freelancers and government agencies.

Yes, also would like to know what they have confirmed in detail in the order of schluri.

It's very simply: They just confirmed me by phone that they accept orders from private individuals via internet. So if they sent you the product knowing the fact that they send it to a private individual, then they have to fulfill all aspects of the german law called "Fernabsatzgesetz" for private individuals. So return within 14 days is for sure guaranteed!

I did several orders as a private individual at Hantz&Partner in the past and never had any issue.

But one Information: They got the delivery for the Base 3.0 yesterday and are not sure if all orders could be processed with the amount they got. Next delivery is scheduled for january. So good luck to all! Pricewise there is not much difference between Hantz&Partner and DivXPlayer: 339,71€ to 341,95€

mmmm do not create threads just to link to a reseller or distri (see rules commercial threads), especially if not accessible to consumers (which they should not be as if they do sell directly as some confirm, they are giving false competition by doing direct sales against their own resellers who won't be happy to read about it)
