Default Dune Base 3.0 to ReadyNAS NVX NFS

Hi everyone,

First my apologies for posting my earlier post about RadyNAS NVX in Dutch.

Gonna try this one in English:

I just got the ReadyNAS NVX and I need some help setting up the Base 3.0 to connect to the NVX through NFS. I have NFS enabled on the NVX and the Dune settings are:

Name: Netgear NVX
Type: NFS
Server: ip-address of NVX
Folder: /media
Protocol: UDP ( Is UDP possible on the NVX or should this be TCP?

So far I can connect to the NVX up to the folder where the movie (mkv) is located, but when i try to play the movie the display on the Dune only shows play and then falls back to ready without showing anything on the screen. So I can connect but cant play any movies. Are there any settings on the NVX that need to be changed or doesnt the NVX support UDP protocol on NFS?

BTW I can play movies through Network browser (SMB?).

All your help will be greatly appreciated.

(I hope my English wasnt too bad)/

Did you ever get this working dikkiedirk? If so what did you do/what are you settings? If not here is a thread over in the Dune section that might help....
Dune Netgear Readynas you might even post this question in that thread as well. Of note particulary is this post

Shares
Share listings

Set NFS default access to read-only

All other options left blank (default)

On the DUNE I then create a network shortcut for Music / Pictures and Videos

For example I added add the following details for the Music shortcut

Name: <leave blank>
Type: NFS
Server: 192.168.1.3
Folder: /Music
Protocol: UDP

Once created the name of the above shortcut becomes 192.168.1.3/Music

Hope this helps
Thanks
