Re: Zappiti : Another Dune software announced by HDLand
Really lovely software,,,
the thing is that i m going to buy an Egreat a1080... that uses dune firmware..
but...
among other questions i have ... for now are those:
a) i have been using yamj (due to pch owner)... in my movies folder there is <movie>.jpg (for poster) and <movie>.fanart.jpg...
is there a way so zapitti uses those images for each movie than downloading new?
b) if a movie is not scrapped correctly (by zapitti) how can i correct this?
Thank you for your time

You can manually edit all the fields. You can also manually add the fanart and backgrounds you have in your folders.

OK, just wanted to confirm something. For TV Shows, are you saying that all episodes should be under the TV Name folder? For example, I have a folder for each TV Show. Under the TV Show I then have folders for each Season, and then under the Season folder I have the individual episodes (listed as S##E##):
Show Name
--> Season #
--> S##E##.mkv, etc...
I just tried Zappiti and it did not scrape any of my episodes except for one tv show (even though all shows are set up the same), very strange.

Is there a way to edit the categories? Or add new ones?

Hm...
a) i wanted to avoid the manual editing and was hoping that there was a was that zappit could pick automatically the images i have in the folders...
b) Is there a way to tell zappit (if a movie is scrapped incorrectly) to use specific tmdb id? (tt1112323)?

OK, I just cleared out my tv shows folder from Zappiti, re added, and although all the shows appear no episodes get scraped (all my episodes show in the "to scrap" area, but when I click Scrap All nothing h appens). Not sure what else to do, my setup is as follows:
Folder Path: \\MyServer\Videos\TV Shows
Under the TV Shows folder are individual tv show folder names, (i.e. Supernatural, 24, Transformers, etc...)
Under the TV Show Name folder are season folders (i.e. Season 1, Season 2, etc...)
Under the Season folder are the individual episodes named as ShowName - S##E## - EpisodeName (i.e. Supernatural - S01E01 - Pilot.mkv)
Any ideas

just the name of your tv show eg "house" then s01e01,s01e02 etc then s02e01,s02e02 etc rename the folders if needed

Yes, just replace the name of the movie with the ttXXXXXXX id in the scrap pop up window.
Re the images. I have DVD cover image in each movie folder that is named "folder.jpg" and Zappiti automatically assigns this "folder.jpg" image to the DVD cover in the description. It takes precedence from the scrapped images.
Zappiti however does not assign the fanart that is stored in the folder to the background. If there is no background scrapped from imdb then you have to do it manually with the pic in the folder.

Yes, in the latest beta 1.3.0.819 you can now add your own category and also deleta any of the pre-rendered categories.
In the Categories section there is now "New Category" button, and if you right click on pre-rendered category icon you have the option to delete.

You don't need separate folders for seasons, you can put them all in one folder and Zappiti will make an individual icon for each season.
Also, with some series that have names of similar series or shows that originally aired in other countries you need to put something in the folder name so it will be recognized. For example the US version of the Office should be named The Office (US) or the new V series is V (2009). You can get the correct titles from thetvdb.com
