I am a happy holder of a Qnap TS-509 pro that I have purchased about 18 months ago. With 5 hard disk from 1 Tera in RAID 5... and almost completely full.

Fantastic NAS...

Talking Re: What storage device do you use?

I'm using a QNAP TS-410 Turbo NAS with 2x 1.5TB in RAID1 to stream it all to my Dune HD Center

ReadyNAS NV+ 4x1000GB drives. Looking at a 6 bay Readynas or a 8 bay QNAP as a next step.

ReadyNAS NV+ 4x1.5 TB. Great system. Have four computers running Plex/xbmc streaming from the readyNAS. Also have an older Tvix 4100sh attached in the kids playroom. Wireless Squeezbox streaming music in the kitchen. Pretty sweet all around.

Looking at upgrade paths, I am checking out the readynas pro, qnap 8-bay systems, or maybe building my own.

I used to use Thecus n2100 and n4100 with beta firmware .

But Moved to Freenas and will never turn back.

have 3 x freenas servers 2 for streaming 1 as backup for both streaming servers and main network pc's/laptop data .

Can never have to Many backup options.
