Exclamation Problem with Dune BD prime 3.0!

Hi there.

Have had same problem before but now it have come back and it is much worse I guess, cause I have no idea of to fixe it.

When I first bought the dune it didnet work either but it like fixed it self somehow but after I reinstalled windows im back to the old problems again

The problem is that when try to connect to my PC with the Dune I just get "Network resources is not accesiable"

First off just so you know I have win 7.

What I have done so Far is to Share my movie Folder on the PC with "all"

Have cat 5 cable from dune to the Swtich and cat 5 cable from the switch again to my PC

Made a new network folder on the main window on Dune.
In that I have done like this:

Name: Name on the folder on the Dune
Server: The name of my PC
Folder: The name of the Movie folder on the Computer
Username: Nothing
Password: Nothing

And when I push that shortcut the message "Network resources is not accesiable" comes up.

But when I push the Network butten on the dune and go to the "Homeworkgroupe" I can see my PC name there and some other PC on the network. But when I go into either of thouse folders it's totaly empty.
So It seems like I'm able to see my PC with the dune, just not able to see my folders and files.

I have alsow tryed to do all this (what i have written above here) with my windows firewall Turned OFF But with no help at all.

And when i go into Network on my PC I can see the Dune aswell. So good thing they can see eachother I guess But how dos that help me when im still not able to see movies on me TV

And I maybe think I have to do somthing in the Firewall, just maybe.
In the "Windows-Firewall advanced securety" I might have to do somthing in the "Incomming rules" But I dont know

So know I ahve tryed all weekend to fixe this so I can see movies but nope looks like im not good enough with computers to figure this out.

So then this is my last chanse before I give up and just sell my dune and hope that you guys might be able to help me out!

Sorry for my bad English!

Don’t sell your Dune!!! Its likely just a setting in your windows 7. I don’t have windows 7, but there are probably some people here who can help you further.

To me it sounds like the permissions of the shares (or the files in it) are not correct.

Please check file ownership in the shared folders..., not enough to just share it to all.
Most likely permissions (file/directory ownership) do not allow read and write in shared folders.

Dune has many issues but do not blame it for this problem.

Yes, Win 7 is a bit different but is actually quite straight forward once you ensure you have done the basics
look at this
http://www.techno-planet.net/tips/wi...-sharing-easy/
which is a simple and visual run through. this -
http://opensuse.swerdna.org/susesambawin7.html (basically same as above)
and this -
http://www.tannerwilliamson.com/2009...fix-samba-smb/
which is more specific about a win7 difference.

Win 7 and the Dune work well together once you sort out the communications
