Hello everybody
I have the dated but solid Ellion HMR 700A (aka Medley) and I have an iPad.
I have the wifi dongle and Ndas is working.
And I can stream movie form ellion to my pc and from there to my iPad using AirVideo software.
I would love to stream directly from Ellion to iPad, without turning on PC.
The problem is most of my movies are avi, not compatible with iPad (Apple).
So I would really need to run the converter on the ellion.
Is there for example an AirVideo version for ellion?
I read (google airvideo linux) about a AirVideo for linux but I understood was intended again for the pc version of linux.
Anyone with similar desire?

There is no such thing on the Ellion or any other player but it may be added by the vendor in a firmware update if they feel it is useful, after all, the iPad is a popular device although I do not fully understand the need as if you are home (to use the Ellion), why not just use the TV?

VLC media player has successfully been ported to the ipad and should be in the appstore for free. VLC was sent to the appstore last week and as of right now is awaiting approval.

VLC media player is a universal player that is famously known for being an open source project along with being able to play any media format thrown at it.

If approved you can see how awesome this would be as we wouldn’t have to convert our media anymore since VLC can pretty much play anything you throw at it.

But unfortunately, this portation of VLC Media Player to iOS platform do not has any streaming capability
You can add content only via synchronization with itunes.

So, OPlayer HD is still best of one for me.

I can stream live TV from Dreambox directly to iPad. It´s no easy, but only one working and stable solution for it, what I find.
OPlayer HD can play locally stored movies, such as VLC, but you can add content without PC. It can be added via Samba or FTP directly from NAS or Mediaplayer with embeded HDD to iPad.

I bought the app and I'm right now trying
It was long time since I setup on my Ellion he samba demon andforgot everything.
Sure it' s working because my pc immediately connects by default so it must be active.
But i cant succeed in configuring the Buzz
I'm trying thecorrect ip and usr/pswd root '' (empty)

Ok. I was able to start the smb demon. I think i was able to see the disks on pc because of ndas only. Now with samba running BUZZ is working.
Is there a way to activate samba automatically at each machine start?
I will go around for solution and meantime I try the BUZZ performance

Ps i'm still complaining because wifi in ellion works only if ssid is public (not hidden)
