I tried to run yadis and Zappiti under wine, but that wasn't a succes.

My next bet was to run them using vmware workstation, hhaving it appear as an application under linux using VMware unity. Zappiti doens't work correctly when using full hardware acceleration for the display adapter under vmware.

--> I currently use it on a virtual XP machine, with hardware acceleration disabled under vmware.

Wouldn't it be awesome if, together with sanbznd, couchpotato and suckbeard a menu generation tool would also work as a webapp on your NAS?

That would be cool, all you do is it add the video file to your nas and it does the rest :P

All in good time I think.

Maybe there will be a iso standard for gui on media players. A long shot but hey we can hope.

Hi Loren34,

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 with Virtualbox. I have a Windows7 running in Virtualbox (specifically bought to be able to use some apps I miss in Linux) and it's working fine. I have not used the seamless mode in Virtualbox but if you do you will experience Zappiti as an almost-linux application.

HTH

Greetz,
