Default File Browser

Hello,

I've recently purchased a dune prime bd 3.0 and very glad with it but......

At the first start I couldn't find my nas's/whs (I've three nas/whs with movies on it) via the network browser. Finally via the pop up menu I could make several links to the movies directory's and it is working.

I've discovered zappiti and I'm trying to install it. I've followed the instructions (on mediasmartserver.net) but at the point of the "filebrowser" where I've to make a link to the zappiti files I get stuck. I assume I must use the icon "network browser" (there is no other "browser" icon) but when I use that button no network folders will appear. Am I overlooking something?

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. The Zapitti application itself should be installed on a PC. You then point this to where the media files are stored. Maybe I've misunderstood what you are trying to say. Anyway, there is a dedicated Zapitti thread here which may be a better place to start. http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23073

Yannis,

The problem was that I couldnīt use the `add to main screen` option for a link to zappiti on the dune.

But this afternoon Iīve all my networkshares visible when I use the network browser. Thatīs problem is solved.

But when I try to attach a usb stick the dune will recognize it but not use it as a system-share (and I've used all kinds of solution, including firmware, the special system storage file etc) but everytime the dune says that there is no empty storage available. I've tried several sticks and both ports on the dune but no way (the dune can see the sticks, can even play files on the sticks but for system-storage it says no).

Well i give up on that, Zappiti is working fine now.

Hi John,

Glad you got it sorted.

Ref system storage. Are you aware that you have to download a DFF file and have this on a separtae drive, in order to make a usb stick as system storage.

There is a link here.

http://dune-hd.com/firmware/usb_flash_drive/

Apologies if you have already followed that procedure.

Edit - just re-read your post and it seems that you have. I've no idea why it doesn't work I'm afraid. Perhaps someone else can help.

Well Yannis,

after trying with several 4gb usb stick I finally got lucky with a 8gb stick. Don't know why but it is working and that's what matters.
