Hello to all... they are a new customer of the forum... I ask you aid for my new Kiss DP558 ...
yesterday i have installed the 558 (rev.6 firmware 1.0.7) and i have updated to the ver.1.1.1 after all I have noticed that

- the picture of the tuner tv is disturbed from diagonal color interferences
- the audio of the tuner tv it is a rustling with of the moments in which alternate disturb.
- when turn on standby on the display comes to me written NTP FAIL.
- before installer it (1.0.7) space sull HD was 85 hours and now in the same modality it gives 79 hours to me
- during the vision of a television program if I press key PAUSE/PLAY correctly firm the image but, after some second, if I press of new key PAUSE/PLAY the image leaves again but to the double speed and after some according to the reader one jams and in order to make to leave again it I must extinguish it with the key on/off on frontal display.

Please excuse my english...i have used an electronic translator.

Normal message. Don't mind this.

Difference in disk size is possible after installing new FW.
You sure you don't have recorded by accident?

Probably a user error on your end.
You press PLAY to start Timeshifting and then FF to start playback again
You should press PLAY again and it will continue normally...

I ask finally if I must contact the vendor or directly kiss in how much the player it has only a life day.

The vendor is Pixmania (Fotovista).

They will ship rev7 player or up as replacement but it might take a while...

If you are within the first 7 days, return to Pixmania...

I just received my replacement player today. (What a christmas gift

It's an rev8 player, and these issues are solved:

- The poor quality tv-tuner image
- Tv-tuner image interferences (diagonal color stripes)
- The remote works perfectly now

Probably more have been fixed.
With these improvements I no longer hesitate to recommend the player to anyone. Now it's really a great tool and toy.

Unfortunately the player still freezes from time to time. But that's unlikely to be hardware related, so I expect this to be fixed (or at least improved) in the future firmware releases.
