So i have no links for your intention, sorry, and I am a complete layman in linux compared with you, but i think its not impossible, that it has to do with Linux Kernel version and chipset. Some manufacturer of 3tb usb disks have in their requirements the number of linux version, e.g. Verbatim: kernel version 2.6. But i have no idea that it helps. Lets ask stb2xxx.

New firmware looks promising for this. From the changelog:

- Fixed a problem with the inability to play the files with some USB HDD volume over 2TB Hard Drive Seagate FlexGo.

Tested on russian forum -they not fixed -same old kernel.

Do you know whats the current kernel version respectively linux version of the dune units?

I don't know what you're smoking, because that thread again has nothing to do with Dune. It's some guy running Ubuntu and trying to get his USB drive to work. The question was, what Linux kernel version is the Dune running?

If the answer is, indeed, in that thread (which it isn't), you're going to have to be more specific. In fact if you've found the answer in that thread, why not just post the answer here, instead of sending us all on a wild goose chase?
