I wish I could say something is wrong here but I know it's not. To really fine tune it, even with threading you need to start disabling certain things your not using.

My best recommendation here, is if possible to help test this support if maybe you can narrow down your library to a couple titles.. once that's working you can overnight run the whole thing.

I'm looking over what the units have in them and I'm seeing some youtube support.. Youtube support is one thing I disabled on a dune thinking it may not work but is it documented anywhere how a flashlite app might be able to start a youtube video?

Only if you can get the link to the actual MP4 stream. There's no built-in way to parse youtube vids by just passing in the URL or video ID or anything.

You start HTTP streams the same way that you start other files (local or on a local server).

Do you know if anyone has tried this? I know on many hardware players, they cannot directly play a video from youtube, it's blocked by youtube.

Actually I've done it before myself, but youtube changed their algorithms since then and it broke my code.

Anyway, to prove my point you can use a service like KeepVid to get the direct link for any youtube video. Then just put that as the media URL and the Dune takes care of the rest.

perfect It's always hard to test when you need people who have never used yamj to try to get it running. It might take me a while to get to the testing phase. I only have the production server, and since the kids and wife use it all the time, I hate to bring it down until when they're asleep. :P
