Default DP-500 and DVD+RW problems

Hi.

I can't get my DP-500 (2.8.3) to accept the DVD+RWs that I am burning - it just ejects them. I am using TDK 1-4x and DataWriteClassic 4x and I've tried burning at 4x and 2.4x
I've tried burning with 3 different aplications.

My DP-500 can play other DVD+RWs that a friend has given me - these were Philips.

As I have a stock of 12 DVD+RWs I would like to use them.
I'm wondering if the problem is the media or the way I am burning them. btw I am having no problems with DVD+R and DVD-R (BulkPaq).

Any thoughts/suggestions? Any compatible media RW lists around?

Darrell

It's possible to have problems with certain drives but they can be due to the KISS DVD
player or even due to a combination of your burner and the media used in combination.

Just try different brands...
It's not worth loosing time over it at the price few medi's cost today

I use Princo and datawrite without any problems.
TDK, i have used for a while as well without any probs...

Regards

Hello Darrell,

Is there a special reason why you used the Asus DVD-E616P2, can I use also others?? And what about region free?

Yes - there is a reason - http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?n...ewtopic&t=2910

Only this drive fits perfectly into KiSS players (including front panel mounting).

RPC1 firmware is here - http://tdb.rpc1.org/#E616P2
