Default Weird FTP problem: 4GB limit

that's right, when I try to download a file, I connect with CuteFTP, everything works perfect, when I start the download, it stops at 3.99GB (of a 33GB recording) with the error my disk is ful, but i've got over 90GB of free space...

The guy at kiss support said I should use another FTP client, but I don't thnink that's the error since he does connect, and I can transfer files (smaller files of course)

weird, anyway, I'm gonna try some other FTP clients, starting with flash FXP

Check the File system on the PC. Fat32 is limited to 4 GB. You must use NTFS to store file bigger than 4GB.

That could be it, although I use win XP, I always store my data on FAT32 partitions. probably I'll get the same error now with Flash FXP.

I'll try to up it to my main NTFS partion.

I didn't knew you could only put files of 4GB on a FAT32 partition

Tnx for info!

FYI: Using XP's native ftp client also imposes an 4GB limit even on a NTFS filesystem. I'm using GetRight, and since FW 1.1.1 filesizes are correct even for files larger than 4GB.
