Hi Folks,

I am thinking about buying the Med500X2 and want to know what the experiences are with network streaming from a Freenas Server using the Samba protocol...

So...
Does it work?
Does the media player see al the mounting points you have set up?

Your might want to try over at the mede8er forums.

Please be aware that they have abandoned the 500x for the 500x2 - the 500x still has annoying bugs, (screen saver comes on randomly during playback) - there is NOTHING to say they wont do it again with the 500x2. SO be aware they Sanji have a track record of abandoning their users. Speaking from experience. I wouldn't recommend a mede8er, unless you intend to abandon it within 18 months and buy the next model.
