took the plunge today and bought the 2tb go flex home NAS. Set up was a breeze and it immediately recognized on my network. The problem I am having ( I am very new to this) is w/ my PCH200. I used the dashboard software that came w/ the seagate and it defaulted to the X drive as a public folder to share over my network. When I navigate to this share via my PCH the file will not play. All sharing is enabled.... Conversely, I can play these same files w/out problem from my pc to my pch200. I am lost at this point as to what else to try. My pc is a w7, 64 bit. I manually entered the ip of my NAS as well in the PCH and still get same result- file won't play.

Any suggestions/advice? Thank you

Hi,
I would say that "go flex home" is not really a NAS. I took a quick look at the user guide and there were no word about CIFS/SMBFS/NFS. I would say it is only a NDAS, which needs drivers to be accessed. If your PCH200 supports FTPFS then you try it and enable FTP on the Seagate.

Another possibility would be to install alternate firmware on the GoFlex.
